Who are Get It Out?

Get It Out are a music publishing & distribution company focused on getting your music on iTunes and other digital music stores. All you have to do is submit your music and when you get sales Get It Out will send you 100% of your royalties.

How do I get my music on iTunes & Amazon MP3 etc?

The team here at Get It Out have designed our website to be as simple and as straight forward as possible to make sure all you have to worry about is making your music. All you have to do is open an account on GetItOut.com, and follow the step by step instructions.

How much does it cost to put music on iTunes & other stores?

Get It Out delivers singles to iTunes & all the other stores for $34.99 and delivers albums to iTunes & all the other stores for $69.99. The fee is renewable every year your Single/Album remains on the Digital Stores.

How long does it take to get music on iTunes & other stores?

Get It Out submits music to iTunes & other stores within 24hrs of receiving payment, after that its down to the stores. It usually takes between 4-6 weeks to show on all stores.

Can I check how many Album/Singles I have sold?

Yes, you will receive a sales report that details all your sales from around the world.

How do I receive my royalties?

Your royalties will go directly into your Get It Out account, from there you will be able to withdraw your money.

How much will I get paid for each single/album sold on iTunes & others?

Prices vary from retailers but on average you will receive $6.00 - $7.00 per album and 60 – 70 Cents per single. Remember you keep 100% of your royalties!

Can I withdraw my money at any time?

Yes, however there must be a minimum of $50 in your account before you are able to withdraw your earnings, that minimum amount must stay in your account at all times.

Can I change or amend my album/single once I've paid for it to be distributed?

Unfortunately once we have submitted your music to the stores there is no way of changing it, the only way to change it would be to take down the music and start again, but please be aware there is a charge for doing that. We recommend that you ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK what you are submitting before you make your payment.

Take down process & costs?

If you decide to take down your music within six months of it being on the digital stores there will be a charge of one years distribution fee which will need to be paid before we can take down the requested music. If you do wish to take down a song/album please contact Get It Out via email at info@getitout.com and quote ‘’Take down’’ in the subject heading.

Can my Album/Song have Explicit Lyrics?

Yes, you can have Explicit Lyrics but please make sure you specify this when submitting it on GetItOut.com as it could be rejected by the reseller if not labelled correctly.

What format do I need to use for my music?

Digital stores request that audio can be supplied in .WAV format or hi-quality MP3 format encoded at 320 kbps. Please convert your music before uploading it to GetItOut.com as this will ensure there are no delays in getting you up and running.

Do I have to give up any rights to my music?

Absolutely not! You keep ALL your rights and ALL your Royalties.

Do I need artwork for a single/album?

Yes, but don’t worry If you haven’t got anything Get It Out have a number of different templates that you can choose from for FREE.

What format does my Artwork need to be in?

Artwork must be: 600 x 600 Pixels in JPEG Format. Please ensure your artwork is in the highest quality. You cannot include: email addresses, URLs or any contact details or pricing details on your artwork. You must include: the artist name and album title and please ensure if scanning the image from a CD that you have removed all stickers and other items before doing
so.

What is a UPC / ISRC Barcode?

A UPC / ISRC Barcode is used to track your music sales. This enables the stores and ourselves to produce an up to date and accurate report on how many singles/albums you have sold.

Do I have to have a UPC Barcode?

Yes, it is essential that you have a Barcode but don’t worry if you haven’t got one, GetItOut.com with supply you with one absolutely FREE.
